WHERE, in the name of all that is Holy, is Malaysian Airline Jet MH 370??

This plane has been "missing" for many days now.  "Objects" seen & located, yet no follow-up reports.  What is your suspicion or "best guess" regarding this mystery?  Care to comment?

My theory is that something happened in the air - a bomb, a malfunction, who knows - that caused the plane to fall from the sky (probably in many pieces) and land either in deep water or dense foliage.  I believe the plane and passengers are out there somewhere waiting to be discovered; but, it will require a thorough search because they have landed in an area that does not lend itself well to search and rescue.

pippap.....If you believe the plane crashed "in many pieces," it's highly doubtful "anyone" is waiting to be discovered.....Yes?

I don't believe that death is the end of it all.  When I say the passengers are out there waiting - I mean dead or alive.  I believe that the spirits of those dead were waiting for their bodies to be found.

pippap....I see.  Yes, you're correct in this.  I was not considering this at the time.  I truly hope your "belief" is 100% correct.  I "teeter" in my faith on this issue.  My loss of joy, I'm sure.

Hiya Paula, to be honest I first thought that it was a case of cabin pressure making them all go a bit drowsy, go off flight plan and then fall asleep and crash, but now I think it was deliberately heading for that island that the Americans have just a bit farther from where the 'crash' site is supposed to be. I think they either ran out of fuel trying to commit a terrorist attack or planes spotted them heading their way, knew they were a threat and took them out so to speak! we will see!

Isn't this crazy? I can't believe it is completely missing. My theory is that at least one government knows where it is and is allowing us to believe it is missing. It is hard to believe that a plan that was probably years in the making, wouldn't have been executed better and demand wouldn't have made themselves known. I think Someone knows where that plane is and knows what the terrorists want and part of what they want is to stay missing.maybe I watch too many political fictions?!

Yes. With all the advancements in satellite and observation technology, pinpointing what happened to a plane is a piece of cake. I'm sure the Malaysian government is hiding something. Let's just pray that it's worth lying for.

I'm not sure, no-one is. I think there was a cockpit fire, the pilot attempted to reach the nearest airport, but the smoke and flames were too much to execute a landing. It overshot, ran out of fuel, crashed into the ocean, and everyone died (I'm sorry to say).

I'm more interested in the ethics of the media and the governments involved, and the psychology of the families. The grieving families want this to be a hijacking so much that they'll cling on to any story that speculates about terrorism. This brings up the question of why the media was pushing the terrorist angle for so long without any real evidence. They were giving the families false hope, which is deplorable in my opinion. Unfortunately, governments around the world seem to want to use any excuse to scare people about terrorism, whether it's Al-Qaeda or "red warnings" or whatever other rubbish they drum up on a daily basis to keep the populace in a state of fear. I think this was another example of governments and their media puppets pushing the terrorist angle, and being completely callous towards the families who really didn't need to be given that kind of false hope.

My heart breaks for the families.  This is one of those nightmare situations, we dread to even imagine!  (It is sad and disappointing when governments mislead, lie and cover-up)  Rarely do we get truth!)

Very interesting question, I have no idea where the jet is of what happened, I do however find it odd that the government has the capabilities to track everyone on the planets cell phone, but can't track a plane. Makes no sense to me.

Exactly, Alpha.  Seems we all get very tired of being considered idiots.  Much makes no sense, simply because there is no sense to be made.  Even when this has been solved...can we trust that anything is true?

From day #2 I said the plane was on or near Christmas Island. I don't know why I said that. A lucky guess? Or unlucky? I don't know. But I'm sticking with my gut feeling.

I've yet to google that and I'm seriously curious about Christmas Island now that you mentioned it to me!  Look, SFAM, IF, in fact, anything comes up to involve this island and the lost jet.....YOU will either spook me out or be my private psychic!!

I have read a lot and watched a lot of coverage on the topic and no one makes more sense than Chris Goodfellow. He is a retired Canadian pilot. His analysis of the situation makes the most sense. Google his name and see if you agree.

It is most likely somewhere in the Indian Ocean which is very vast. If reports are to be believed, the debris that has been reported to have captured by satellite images is that of the Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370. The biggest hindrance to the recovery mission has been the fact that the tracking equipment was deliberately switched off by someone inside the plane who went ahead and took control of it.

Ok, so I'm nuts, but I believe the plane got swallowed up by some mysterious "black hole" like the Bermuda Triange as it flew over the Indian Ocean.

How totally tragic.  Monday, March 24, 2014......The announcement has been made.  This is sad.  The families are completely devastated.  Some will continue to hold on to a tiny shred of hope......I understand.  I wish them peace and love.
Now, we will hear reports on whatever details they can discover.  We can only imagine the horror and fright these people may have experienced.

It sounds horrendous for the families. I tried to empathize, and found myself picturing the terror that the victims in the aircraft would have been feeling. I had to stop that thought process as quickly as I could. The families won't be able to.

I care, yet watch less of the news today so not up to date. I am still baffled knowing it did occur. I am stuck on the last transmission being "all right good night." A message? Coded? A riddle? Prophecy? A statement? A declaration?

I pondered who was on the plane and the information saying mucky-mucks of government intelligence while not sure of rumor or not. I remember how many planes safely landed on water in the past. I thought of D.B. Cooper.

Thoughts of the NSA new underground data site in Utah and just who works there - past employees, new employees, covert employees, or who knows. How does one cause persons to disappear? Conspiracy theories abound with the imagination while the Star Trek episode of beaming a blue whale aboard the flag ship offers how big is a blue whale? Would they have to beam the wings or just the fuselage?

Even though it is both a sad and alarming event the news broadcast offers always saying "we don't know just yet." It definitely is a world wide event of least and holding viewers to the set, internet, and written media like glue. How long will it take for the glue to set or to loosen?

History in the making unfolds  . . . I simply dun'no the answer, while saying 'Amazing!'

My guess, as deduced from the analysis by commercial pilots and the emerging data is that the plane suffered a catastrophic electrical fire.
It's known that when a plane encounters electrical fire in-flight, the first step taken by the pilots is to switch off all electrical circuits and this includes location transponders, radio and other stuff that helps controllers at the ground track the plane. This is done as a preventive measure by the pilots to pin-point the exact location of the electrical fire before declaring 'mayday'.
It's also a known fact that the pilots increased their flight level from 35000 ft to 45000 ft. Again, the data points towards an electrical fire. It's a normal practice by pilots to increase the flight level during electrical fire to prevent the fire from spreading as higher altitudes contains thinner oxygen levels.
When the situation became desperate, the crew decided to turn around to the nearest airport. I doubt if the crew headed towards Kualalumpur, as in emergency situations as this, the primary task of the crew is to land the plane to the nearest available airport (Even without the ATC's direction, many senior pilots do remember the nearest available airports along the designated routes frequented by them). The pilots would have input a new heading in the auto-pilot computer followed by switching on the other electrical circuits. It takes around 8 minutes in a modern commercial jet to activate all the electrical circuits when switched on. But by this time the fire would have damaged the cabin pressurization panel resulting in the crew and passengers slipping into unconsciousness due to lack of oxygen (similar to the Helios Airways accident on 14th August 2005).
With no crew control, the auto-pilot of the aircraft would have simply continued it's journey towards the new heading till it ran out of fuel and crashed into the Indian Ocean.
The lack of debris could be due to the extreme weather conditions as experienced by the search teams too. Also, the debris could have shifted by now.
Irrespective of what the real reasons are, this is indeed a shocking disappearance and the world is anxiously waiting for some concrete answers. Prayers with the families who lost their loved ones!
